The Ex and I had a nice chat last night. We're both absolutely exhausted from several weeks of sheer insanity surrounding this breakup. I'm hopeful that this time, we really are both going to try and keep things clean and simple. Exactly two weeks ago, we said the same thing, but there's just no easy way to break up, I guess.
I'm hopeful. I don't want to be on this rollercoaster anymore, and apparently no one else wants to be either. This is a good thing.
My deep thanks to my friend for being wise enough to run away. He's trying to help, but The Ex and I need to sort this out ourselves. And, thanks to The Ex for writing the title of this post!
